We had an assignment to make a book cover. I decided to make a cover for Lord of the Flies. It's based on a seen where one of the older kids walks through a sandcastle built by one of the little kids.  What do you think?

Jon Klassen Assignment

This week we had to make an illustration that in corporate textures. I took some photos around calarts of interesting textures and got this one from some paint streaks in the cubes. 

I got this texture online at cgtextures.com

And i made this texture by taking one of the bad poster prints from this week and rubbing it in the cigarette garden outside.

 

Life of pi: Richard Parker Head

Because I'm retaking Lisa Keene's VisDev class, I get to choose whatever project i want to work on in the class. I chose to do development for an animated version of Life of Pi. The story is about a boy who ends up stuck in a life raft with a bangle tiger in the middle of the pacific ocean. The tigers name is Richard Parker. I'm basing the style of the project on the illustrations of Charley Harper. So this is my first attempt at Richard Parker:

Film update: Style test

Just doing some style tests for my film. These were done in Photoshop and not cg but this is what i am hoping to make my cg film look like this year.
